Massacre at Mountain Meadows : An American Tragedy by Richard E. Turley, Glen M. Leonard, Ronald W. Walker

I was very impressed with how interesting this book was--I thought it might be dry but it definitely wasn't. Highly recommended.

I've had my eye on this one.
Qualities That Count: Heber J. Grant As Businessman, Missionary, and Apostle by Ronald Walker is one of my favorite Mormon History books. It is really, really good.

Sorry, Pokejane is my daughter. She hasn't read it yet, either.

My husbands grandma wrote Mountain Meadow massacre. She gave each grandkid a signed copy years ago. I tried to read it but couldnt get into it. I wonder if it would be disloyal to the family to try a different version??

Laura H, I bet Juanita Brooks would want you to read this--they had access to info that she didn't at the time.

Also, if you and your husband haven't, you should definitely read the bio of Brooks by Peterson.
