Godfall by Van Jensen

I really liked this -- it was a good mix of science fiction and mystery. My one quibble would be a plot point that is quickly becoming overdone (avoiding more detail to avoid spoilers).

The List of Suspicious Things by Jennie Godfrey

First, the cover suggests a cozy mystery, but this was not that. It's much darker. Second, any book narrated by Joanne Froggatt is +1. And, overall, this was very clever and well worth reading.

The Edge of Sleep by Jake Emanuel, Willie Block, and Jason Gurley

Super weird and kind of funny.

Murder on Bamboo Lane by Naomi Hirahara

 I really liked this.

The Storm by Rachel Hawkins

Normally, I like Rachel Hawkins, but this was not good. Inexplicable characters, way too many coincidences, etc.

A difficult and sad read, but one of th best books I've read in a long time.

Sky Full of Elephants by Cebu Campbell

Interesting.

The Story She Left Behind by Patti Callahan Henry

Meh.

Glorious Exploits by Ferdia Lennon

Decent, I guess.

This was dumb.

Everyone in the Group Chat Dies by L. M. Chilton

The Heir Apparent by Rebecca Armitage

This was a lot of fun.

True Verdict by Robert Rotstein

I liked the idea of this, but it was a bit over the top.

Earth Abides by George R. Stewart

I almost never read older books, but this was amazing in so many ways.

The Man Who Saw Seconds by Alexander Boldizar

I liked this because it was different.

The Affinities by Robert Charles Wilson

Decent.

Second Hand Soul by Christopher Moore

Fun.

Gandolfini: Jim, Tony, and the Life of a Legend by Jason Bailey

Interesting.

Mrs. Quinn's Rise to Fame by Olivia Ford

Pretty trite until almost the very end, then it redeemed itself.

The Herd by Andrea Bartz

As usual, interesting material basically ruined by jumping the shark.
