Best Offer Wins by Marisa Kashino
This was just a delight. There's nothing like an anti-hero for pure fun reading.

How to Feed a Dictator: Saddam Hussein, Idi Amin, Enver Hoxha, Fidel Castro, and Pol Pot Through the Eyes of Their Cooks by Witold Szabłowski
Great fun -- and even moreso because we saw him speak last week and were served a dinner consisting of recipes from the book.

At Midnight Comes the Cry by Julia Spencer-Fleming
This is absolutely one of my favorite series, but this one just didn't hold up. That might be because there wasn't enough focus on Clare, or maybe because the social commentary was heavy-handed.

Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy
Very suspenseful, interesting characters, then totally jumped the shark.

The Queen Who Came in From the Cold by S. J. Bennett
This is one of my favorite series. I think what really sets it apart is that, in addition to the typical mystery, the queen has to be clever in determining how to get information because she can't exactly just knock on someone's door. And, the dialogue is witty. Highly recommended.
