It's as if she simply replaced the personality of Edward with Jacob, so now Jacob could be the rescuer. Sadly, a trainwreck, indeed.
Oh, that's too bad. I just read Twilight this past week and keep thinking about it, despite myself. I was thinking the next one might also be nice. Have you read the excerpt from "Midnight Sun" on Stephenie's website? www.stepheniemeyer.com and look under "Other Projects".
