As with all essay collections, some of these essays are better than others. But, in general, the academic rigor of the Sperry Symposium is improving. There's some good stuff here. I am, of course, particularly pleased with the essay on Peter in Mark (by Eric Huntsman), which, as far as I can tell, is only the third article on any aspect of Mark from an LDS perspective to be published. (I suppose if you count my anointing article, that's four. And I have two more in the pipeline. But still.)
