Argh. This does not help me when I'm only eight pages in. . . .
I suspect that I may have enjoyed this if I had skipped the prologue and then paid more attention to the identities of the characters as they were introduced. (I didn't, and so all the characters and locations were a big muddle by the end.) By the time I got to the epilogue, I _almost_ wanted to start over from the beginning because I saw that the book may have had some potential had I read it differently.
