I love Connie Willis and really enjoy her historian time traveller stories. I've been asking for Kindle editions for two years. Now that they've finally arrived, I think the prices are way too high. These are downloads. No way they should cost so much.
I bought "Blackout", the newest offering, and read it. I'm guessing it'll be as good as the others, but I can't say for sure because I didn't get a book - I got part of a book. It just stops without even the pretense of closure. There's nothing remotely resembling an ending. And that bugs me. It bugs me a lot. I don't know that I would have minded so much if I had known it going in, if there had been a proviso, if it had cost half the price - but that's not what happened. So, now what? Am I supposed to fork over the price of another book just to find out how it ends?
Does your local library have Overdrive? If it does, you should be able to borrow the Kindle version of the next book.
