Caste by Isabel Wilkerson
Easily one of the best books I've ever read. (And since The Warmth of Other Suns was also amazing, that makes Isabel Wilkerson easily one of the best authors.) This is one of those books that everyone should read.

The People, No by Thomas Frank
This was outstanding: very thought-provoking and well-written.
