The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro

I read this as a part of my Downton Abbey fixation.  I loved it.  It is a book you have to be in the mood for (hint:  if you want action and suspense, this is not for you), but it is truly lovely.  It would be great for book groups.
