I hated this! (And I'm writing this in the most friendly and agree-to-disagree way, though it may not come across that way immediately.) I thought the setting was great and should have yielded something amazing, but I felt like I was reading something I wrote and then didn't edit (and I consider my writing to be mostly rambling and uninspired, as I am demonstrating)--the prose was boring. It made me mad.
Maybe I have unresolved issues with this book, since I read it for a book group and then couldn't go, so I didn't get to vent about it.
I've been reading your blog for a long time and love it! I home school my kiddos, too, but I'm not nearly as diligent and organized as you are. I'm getting better at it as they get older, though.
I adored this book. (But I wish it had been a little less vulgar.)
